I used to own another site at www.nocouponclipping.com. Below is just
one example of someone selling my e-book
without my permission. It's a great e-book but I was losing a lot of sales due
to thieves! My potential customers could
pay
me $14.95, or they
could get it for $1 from this
thief, or download it for free for themselves (since it was
unprotected).
I contacted this lady to inform her that she was selling unlicensed
software and that my lawyer would be in touch if she didn't
remove the post.
She said she wasn't even aware that she couldn't resell it and
promptly ended the Ebay listing early. She was one of the good
ones.
There was another lady selling up to 15 copies
per Ebay post for less than $1 each, before I found her. She
refused to take the post down, until I contacted Ebay and Paypal.
This other time my download URL was posted by
one of my customers
in a newsgroup for stay at home moms trying to save on their
food bill. Who knows how many actually downloaded it for free
before I could change the URL.
There are numerous other instances where my product was given
away, stolen, or sold. These would've never happened in the first place if the Virtual
Vault was around then.
